A faction experience like no other. (Citizen+ ONLY)

  • No cheating of any kind.
  • No greifing or fighting at any of the safezones.
  • No whining about being griefed. It's a faction world so this is to be expected. If you can't handle this then please don't play.
  • Complaining about griefing and stealing. It is kind of the point of this whole thing.
  • Breaking any of these rules can result in a permanent ban from Pandora or even the server!
There are many dragon eggs hidden throughout Pandora and many ways to earn them. These ways include:

  • Exploring dangerous dungeons.
  • Stealing from faction shrines.
  • Special weekend events
    • Arena battle royale - Full on arena battle with all the other factions. Last faction alive will earn a dragon egg.
    • King of the mountain - Be the first faction to reach the top of the arena and earn a dragon egg.

Each faction will have their own shrine that the dragon eggs must be placed at within an hour of collecting it or it will return back to its altar. Charges will be rewarded to each member of a faction with dragon eggs every 24 hours. The amount of charges rewarded depends on the amount of dragon eggs the shrine has. These charges are used for powering the special handheld weapons the faction's army can use to help aid them in battle.

*These weapons/tools are AOE (Area of effect) type. The effects will only work within the chunk launched from.

Important Details:
  • Faction leaders are responsible to setup their faction's shine. Which will be done easily with a command. Just a location needs to be chosen. Choose carefully because it will cost 1000r.
  • If faction shrine gets destroyed faction leader must create another with the command. This will cost 1000r.
  • Dragon eggs are locked away in dungeons. Each of these dungeons have a boss that must be defeated to open the door to the dragon egg altar room.
  • When placing an dragon egg at your faction alter, you must place the dragon egg in the center point.
  • The dragon eggs cannot be off a altar too long or it will disappear and go back to its altar. (Currently set to 1hr)
  • If a player with a dragon egg in their inventory goes offline the dragon egg will be removed from their inventory and fall to the ground.
  • Once you enter a dungeon you will lose all of your teleportation abilities. The dragon egg carrier will also lose all teleportation abilities.
  • Dragon eggs are not protected by the built-in protection Factions has, so this means dragon eggs can easily be stolen by anyone who has access to the alter.
  • Shrines must be built in an area that has clearance to the sky which will activate the beacon in the middle. If the beacon is blocked the shrine won't be activated.
*Details in this section can change when implementing but a majority of it will stay as is.
The factions on the server have relations to each other. They can be ally, neutral or enemy. You choose your wished relation to another faction through a command.

  • If both factions wishes ally you will be allies.
  • If one faction wishes enemy you will be enemies.
  • You can never hurt members or allies (friendly fire is always off).
  • You can never hurt members in a peaceful faction or players without a faction.
  • You can not hurt neutrals in their own territory.
  • You can always hurt enemies.
  • Damage from enemies is reduced by a certain percentage in your own territory.

Only faction members can build and destroy in their own territory. Interaction with the following items is also restricted by default: Wooden Door, Trapdoor, Chest, Furnace, Dispenser, and Diode. Make sure to put pressure plates in front of doors for your guest visitors. Otherwise they can’t get through. You can also use this to create member only areas. As dispensers are protected you can create traps without worrying about those arrows getting stolen.

Every player has "power”. The power can at most be 10 and at least be 0. If you die you lose 2 power. Note that it doesn’t matter at all how you die. You can be killed by an enemy or drown in sand. In either case you will lose 2 power. The power will be restored over time, but only while the player is online; while offline, their power will not regenerate. It takes 1 hour for 2 power to be restored while online.

The power of a faction is the sum of all member power. Every power grants the faction right to claim one land/chunk. You can claim land from a faction if it has to low power.

For example:

A faction with two healthy players, MrApe and MrCow, had a faction named SuperAnimals. The faction SuperAnimals had 20 power. This was because the members had 10 power each and 10+10 is 20. They claimed as much territory as they could (20 minecraft chunks that is). Then MrApe went and drowned in lava. As MrApe died he lost 2 power. After that he had only 8 / 10 power and the faction SuperAnimals had 18 power as 8 + 10 = 18. At this time SuperAnimals had more land than they could handle (20/18). Then their enemy Bulldozer took the chance to claim some of their land. He managed to claim 2 chunks at the border of their territory. Then he could not claim more as SuperAnimals now had (18/18) land.

Land Claiming:
  • When claiming land the chunks must always be connected.
  • /f list not only shows a list of all the factions but also their power and claimed information. Example: 4/10/10. First number shows how many chunks claimed, second shows the amount of power the faction currently has, and the last number shows the max power the faction can have. When the second number is lower than the first that faction is vulnerable to getting land taken.
  • If you claim land from another faction you must start at the border of their territory.

Important Notes:
  • Each faction will have it's very own hierarchy. The admins/officers will have more management commands.
  • When not in your faction's territory or in the wilderness and enemies are close the /f home command will be disabled.
  • When in enemy territory all home, tpa, spawn commands are disabled. Also when in a fight.
  • Factions with no members online will go into offline protection mode. In this mode the faction's land is safe from explosions. **Members are detected cross servers.
Pandora's economy system is based off of Fantasia's but without the convenience of it being virtual. Instead rupees will be physically represented by the emerald. This means you will actually have to compact and carry rupees to use anything economy based. This also makes it very easy to lose money on death or faction base raids.

How to earn rupees on Pandora:
  • Rupees (meralds) can be found mining.
  • Harvest crops and exchange full stacks for rupees. Only one layer of crops per chunk is allowed. Each crop type sells at a different rate. See crop rates below.

Uses for rupees:
  • Purchase goods from the shops in spawn city. All prices are the same as the items on Fantasia.
  • Purchase goods from other allied factions.
  • There's a rumor of a mysterious merchant that is said to have a dragon egg for sale. When asked how much for the egg the merchant always replies, "Too expensive for you!". Will your faction have enough when he visits?
  • Faction leaders can use rupees to hire npc mercenaries to help attack or defend. Each faction can have a maximum of 10 mercenaries alive at a time. See mercenary types and their their rates below. See the commands tab for usage.

  • /faction [player] – Gives player the faction chat tag for global chat.
  • /f title [player name] [color code][title] – Change a players title. This can be used as a custom rank.
  • /f desc [desc] – Change the faction description.
  • /f promte|demote [player name] – Promote/demote members.
  • /f officer [player name] – Give or revoke officer rights to one of the members of the faction.
  • /f leader [player name] – Hand over your leader rights to another member.
  • /f ally [faction name] – Set a faction as an ally.
  • /f neutral [faction name] – Set a faction as neutral.
  • /f enemy [faction name] – Set a faction as an enemy.
  • /dg setdevice, alter  Will build the Dragon egg altar around the player. Only one per faction.
  • To accept a quest you must right click the NPC and then type Yes near the NPC.
  • /f invite,inv [player name] [clan name] – Invite a player.
  • /f deinvite,inv [player name] – Remove a pending invitation.
  • /f kick [player name] – Kicks player out of the faction.
  • /f sethome [faction tag] – Set the faction home.
  • /f claim  – Claim the land where you are standing.
  • /f claim [faction=you] [radius=1]  – Claim the land in a radius around where you are standing.
  • /f autoclaim [faction=you] – Start auto-claiming land as you walk around.
  • /f unclaim, declaim – Unclaim the land where you are standing.
  • The area claimed is a minecraft "chunk”. It is an 16×16 area all the way from bedrock to the sky. If you are claiming territory from another faction you must start at the border.
  • /f help,h,? [page] – Display a help page.
  • /f list,ls [page] – Show a list of the factions.
  • /f show,who [faction tag] – Show detailed information on a certain faction.
  • /f map [on|off] – Show an ascii-art map of the nearby territory. Per default it will render only when you use the command. If you specify on or off you will toggle if the map should render every once in a while.
  • /f power [player name] – Show either your own power (if no name is specified) or another player’s power in the same faction.
  • /f leave – Leave current faction.
  • /home – Teleport to the faction's home.
  • /ch join fa – Join your factions chat channel.
  • /ch fa – Changes your chat focus to the factions chat channel.
  • /fa [message] – Shortcut for chatting in faction chat without having to change chat channel.
  • /ch join al – Join your factions allies chat channel.
  • /ch al – Changes your chat focus to the allies chat channel.
  • /al [message] – Shortcut for chatting in ally chat without having to change chat channel.
  • /dg checkcharges, cc  – Check current amount of charges.
  • Scavenger is disabled.
  • There is no need to break down emerald blocks into emeralds. Each block will still count as 9 emeralds.
  • TNT, Creeper, Fireball, Enderman damage is turned on.
  • Use of bedrock is blocked.
  • Obsidian now has a chance of getting destroyed by TNT.
  • Death will send you to your faction's set home instead of spawn.
  • Nether portal creation allowed on Pandora and the Nether.
